B&O Railroad Iron Thunder Hot Sauce Review
Aged red peppers, salt, vinegar, garlic, chipotle peppers, and spices blend together and co-mingle in this incredible basic pepper sauce and deliver and potent, mouth-watering sauce that can be used in a variety of ways. Use it straight from the bottle or add it to your favorite foods during the cooking process to add not only a touch of heat, but a flavor boost as well.
Basic pepper sauces are a staple for heat lovers. They are usually made with cayenne peppers or some similar chili peppers, based heavily in vinegar, with a touch of salt. If the balance is right, nothing beats a good pepper sauce. If the balance is off, it goes down the drain. In Iron Thunder, just like its sister B&O sauces, the Iron Thunder comes on with all the power of a freight train and pleases the palette the way only the most well-crafted hot sauces do. There’s intense flavor here, both in the blend of, and the freshness of, the ingredients.
I use this sauce frequently in my chili, on my scrambled eggs, and in healthy doses splashed into beef stew. It’s great on tacos, burritos, and anything even remotely Mexican in origin as well. Although I have several wing sauce recipes, I found that half a bottle of this, along with butter, makes a great wing sauce all by itself.
B&O sauces come in extremely collectible bottles, so not only should you buy a bottle of each to use, it’s a good idea to purchase one you don’t want to open. Keep it on your shelf for decorative purposes.
